On the occasion of the art residency Viasaterna - Casino Palermo (Manifesta, The European Nomadic Biennial, 2018) Alessandro Calabrese explored the city of Palermo, collecting feelings and encounters, conversations and thoughts. Barracuda is a series of handwritten posters that, mixing quotes and persona sensations, exceeds grammar and structural boundaries. The manipulation of the verbal language dialogues with Alessandro Calabrese’s photographic projects, in which images are corrupted and reassembled in order to create a new imaginary.
